Corinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14192452813079812449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8530085530462337334.post-20302336817060015052011-07-25T04:40:50.741-07:002011-07-25T04:40:50.741-07:00Minunat!

I have them near a fence in a corner, and a horticultural engineer gave me a great ideea, seeing them. To plant two pine trees between the bushes, because there is the place where cold winds get into the garden in winter. I get two things by doing that- break the cold winds and get some acidity to the soil, as pine needles and bark will help. Pine trees do not make much shadow so the roses will b ok.
Mabe this helps you too.
I do not collect the hips because they are huge and they look stunning on the bush, they get all red and stay on the bush for a long time, until the first strong frosts.
I only make rose syrup and jam.
Does Purple pavement set hips? It is a very nice rose, but I do not know about the hips. I also have Moje Mammeberg and it is very nice, but has small black hips.Corinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14192452813079812449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8530085530462337334.post-68362888229105827322011-07-24T14:07:31.448-07:002011-07-24T14:07:31.448-07:00Beautiful hips! I only have Purple Pavement on its own roots, and it needs constant soil amendments to remain green. How long do those hips last? Do you make hip tea or jam?Mashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15996950576326655813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8530085530462337334.post-45212831205842949462011-07-24T11:44:29.154-07:002011-07-24T11:44:29.154-07:00ce frumoase sunt !ce frumoase sunt !cocohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09501794423976027927noreply@blogger.com
